This is an improvement over many existing search devices because of two basic reasons:

  1. This system covers a greater percentage of total possibilities. It includes advertised openings covering approximately twenty percent of the total. It also covers the unadvertised (Hidden Job Market) job openings that many experts believe contain about eighty percent of the total.
  2. In the Hidden Job Market, listings are arranged in descending sequence with those having the greatest potential for turnover (think changes) at the top. This is NOT done on the basis of size of firm using total number of employees as key criteria. In the Hidden Job Market, we dig into the statistical size of departments. This sometimes creates a surprising result.

An example would be the listings of two employers each with one hundred employees. One can have a potential of seven openings while the other would have twelve. The differences are discovered only when understanding statistics related to the North American Industry Classification System – the NAICS codes.
